I've been in a few really bad car accidents since I was a little one and started seeing a chiro in my teens. I was also told I have minor scoliosis and lordosis (curvatures in the spine). I've always struggled with sciatica pain, knee pain from running in middle school/highschool, and ankle pain for an injury I got dancing (I'm not even kidding) 🤣 My injuries caused me to fear running again because I just wasn’t sure I could do it without being in pain forever and didn’t want to have to have knee replacement one day. I initially went to Dr. Perry for overall wellness but I decided in March 2023 that I was going to train for a half- marathon in December and he has been INVALUABLE in my training regimen. I used to wear patellar tendinitis bands and I haven’t worn one the ENTIRE duration of my training. He gives me homework or tips on how to help with tightness and relief in between visits too! I typically see Dr. Perry every two weeks (sometimes more) and most of the time it’s for “tune ups” but sometimes my body is just “off” or I’ve got some emotions/stress built up. Let me start off by saying, I am not a fan of getting cracked. The sound alone makes me want to run! BUT, I have been coming to Dr. Perry for 3 years…consistently because he’s just that good! I’ve had shoulder issues most of my life and an issue known as “floating ribs”. When they shift out of position, it can literally knock the wind out of you…it hurts to breathe. Dr. Perry has always been patient with me and my dramatics. He addresses the issue, will provide after care instructions and is always available to answer questions - which I truly appreciate.
